Hey all,
So to be honest, I'm not even sure where to start. Things have been a whirlwind of productivity (insanity) in the office, mostly because I'm juggling a bunch of awesome things. Thankfully, I'm not juggling them alone. Here's a brief look at what's going down in the next few months.
First, I'm deep in layouts (and making good progress) on both The Rune of Hope and Frigid Reflections, the second and final adventures in the Beyond the Glittering Fane adventure arc. My goal is to have The Rune of Hope done by early September. I want to follow up with Frigid Reflections by October 1st. After that, we'll be adding several additional adventures, as well (see below).
Of course, before we get to October 1st, I am happy to report that Storm Bunny Studios (with the blessing of Wolfgang Baur) will be officially launching Design Camp - the spiritual successor to Open Design. Ben McFarland, alongside Brian Suskind and myself (and some special guests we have lined up), will be running the camp for twelve weeks. Our first project will be The Celestial Host and is sure to make fans of Deities & Demigods proud. This project will go live on September 1st, will run for roughly twelve weeks, and will leave patrons with a robust PDF (alongside an at-cost PoD option).
October 1st, Clinton Boomer and I will be launching the Bloodlines & Black Magic Kickstarter, aimed at funding a wholly new line in the Storm Bunny Studios Universe. This setting will be a dark, modern, Pathfinder-compatible setting that will take players and GMs into a new, strange, twisted version of our world; betraying what we think we know. We'll be producing a small, compact campaign book (128 pages), as well as a 96-page PDF filled with NPCs (that can serve as foes, contacts, and adventure seeds) and a beginning adventure. Some of our stretch goals will include a series of one-shot adventures (each designed for 4-6 hours of play), all of which will be connected by clues, common themes, and in some instances - NPCs or monsters.
By the beginning of December, we'll be finishing up Design Camp and moving into editing/layout. At this point, we'll be outlining and planning our Celestial Host Kickstarter, which will complete the project we started therein. We'll also be discussing where to take our next season of Design Camp.
Going into early 2017, we'll be doing two things. First, we'll be working heavily on adding more content to Rhune, especially as a 5e product. By then, we plan to have out an additional 1-2 Pathfinder/5e compatible adventures, as well as the outline for our long-anticipated 5e Kickstarter, which we'll be launching in early February. Secondly, we'll be delivering all of the content for Bloodlines & Black Magic.
And finally, I'll be adding additional PDFs to the Storm Bunny Presents line. Most of these will be smaller, unique products I've been developing; although with time, we may see more campaign-specific material, as well.
While this sounds like a lot of work (believe me, it is), I'll have a spectacular team helping me on all of these projects, ensuring that I'm not playing the role of Atlas, chained to my desk in some writer's perpetual half-life. ;)
What does this mean for you? Well, first it means that Storm Bunny Studios is alive and well. Secondly, it means we'll be pretty damned busy this year. If things go as planned, we'll be adding a lot of material - across several new settings - to our catalog. That's something that makes me very, very happy.
